The summer of 2004 is one we will never forget. Hundreds of churches in London joined together to proclaim Christ in words and actions. Thousands of young people came from all over the UK and indeed all over the world to partner with them.
Soul in the City was a celebration of Christ on the streets. We worshipped by singing and we worshipped by serving. Then we went to Somerset to celebrate some more! One of the best lessons we learnt was the joy of unity. Different ethnic and cultural backgrounds but one in Christ.
This album reflects that wonderfully. We were joined by friends from Hillsongs Australia and the black majority churches of London. The result was music that moves from monochrome to full colour.
