| | On the 19th February over 250 Christian artists gathered at Abbey Road studio 1 to record the song 'One Voice, One Heart' in response to the Tsunami disaster which hit Asia on Boxing Day.
This historic recording session saw the largest coming together ever of Gospel, contemporary Christian artists & worship leaders from the UK, from both black & white music scenes. The song was written by Tim Hughes & Mark Beswick.
One Voice is working with Jubilee Action who are looking after the rebuilding of Thantri, a fishing village on the east coast of India that was totally destroyed by the disaster. Money raised will be focused on building homes and restoring the trade of the fishermen by supplying boats, fishing nets etc.
A minimum of £2 from each cd sold will go to rebuild the fishing village. £500 can buy a boat and £1500 can rebuild a house, so at least you know where the money is going.;You can also find out more about the work that Jubilee Action are doing in India by e-mailing them at: info@jubileeaction.co.uk. Please also visit www.onevoiceoneheart.com, for loads more information, including photos, video clips, and project updates.
