| | A Christmas compilation CD from the well loved Songs of Praise TV programme. First broadcast in October 1961 from the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cardiff, Songs of Praise has become one of the longest running TV shows in the world. This weekly BBC institution is based around the singing of traditional Hymns as the show visits different congregations around the country. Regularly shown on a Sunday tea time, an average of 3 million viewers tune in. Over the years, many famous personalities have presented the show including Harry Secombe, Thora Hird, Aled Jones and Eamonn Holmes and guests have come from all walks of life, including Cliff Richard, Tony Blair and members of the Royal Family. This Christmas collection features a number of live performances from the show.
